Reflections: A Story/Report on Africa's Technological Past and Future

Looking back to history, many will say technology has done more harm than good to Africans. But it's apt to say that Africans have gone through technological changes that has made their lives more easy. Getting tasks or things done have been facilitated by technology in Modern Africa. Africans now live with much less stress, as their tasks are being done with different machines and equipments.

Africa was a whole package before the colonial era. Yes, colonialism has brought stress-free tools to make us more convenient, but we can shut off our eyes from the fact that it is being brought with vulnerabilities that expose countries to cyber espionage, critical infrastructure sabotage, and crimes.

Before Africa's technological advancements' yam-pepper-scatter-scatter, boys were schooled in the arts of tracking, shooting, trapping, making weapons , and using trees as assets for making poisons, medicines, food and other purposes, compared to the  laboratory and facilities that have transferred the general narrative of Africa's status from the haves to the have-nots. The portioning of lands into game reserves has forced indigenous people out of their native lands and criminalised traditions hunting as poaching. With all this, don't you think we need the pre-colonial Africa?👀
